Winners of the second Through the Train Window competition have been announced by Mid Cheshire Community Rail Partnership.
The competition ran throughout the summer and encouraged rail travellers to submit photos as seen ‘Through the train window’. The competition was judged by photographer John Horsley and judging was in the following categories – 5-12 years, 12-18 years and 18 plus.
Sarah Muir, Community Rail Officer for Mid Cheshire Community Rail Partnership said:
“This was the second time we have run this competition. The quality of the entries was fantastic with the photos capturing the different landscapes and buildings you can see along the mid Cheshire railway line. A massive thanks, once again, to John Horsley who gave up his spare time to judge the winners. We appreciate it and could not do it without him”.
The winners and prizes were:
Ava Boylan – 5-12 years category – 4 Go Ape tickets at Delamere Forest
Jamee Jones – 12-18 category – family ticket for Northern Rail and 4 vouchers for Planet Ice in Altrincham
David Sutton -18 plus – 2 free adult tickets for West Coast Main Line.
Sarah Muir, continued:
