The second Knutsford Art Trail took place last weekend (Saturday 2nd April).
The trail brought together local artists and businesses in a community celebration of art, with displays and exhibitions hosted in a variety of venues across Knutsford Town Centre.
10 town centre businesses took part in the event hosting displays and pop-up shops whilst an exhibition was held in Egerton Place featuring work from nine local artists as well an open workshop where visitors came and painted a contribution to joint canvases as part of a community art project. A children’s craft workshop took place in Knutsford Library.
Alex Brown, Events Officer at Knutsford Town Council, said: “This was our second art trail and obviously 2021 was impacted by the pandemic so this year’s event was small whilst we explore how this might evolve in future years. We’re thrilled to have seen so many beautiful displays across the town and to offer this platform for local art and artists to be celebrated.”
The event is likely to be repeated in 2023, with organisers looking to expand the event to two days. You can keep up to date with event news from Knutsford Town Council by following them on social media or joining their mailing list via the website.
