Two teenagers have been arrested following an incident in Macclesfield.
At around 7.30am on Tuesday 28th October, police were called to reports of a black Ford Fiesta mounting kerbs and driving dangerously through a residential area on Saville Street in Macclesfield.
Three men abandoned the vehicle and fled the scene on foot after colliding with a parked car.
Officers swiftly attended and after a search of the area, two teenagers, aged 19 and 15, from the Macclesfield area were arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle.
Detective Sergeant Laura Fox said:
“This investigation is in the early stages, however I am sure that these arrests will provide reassurance for residents in the area and the wider community.
“I also hope that it acts as a warning to other offenders who think they can commit crime here in Cheshire.
“As our enquiries continue, I would urge anyone with any information or video footage which may aid our investigation to get in touch.”
The teenagers have since been bailed pending further enquiries.
