Cheshire Constabulary is supporting this week’s National Stalking Awareness Week 2021.
| The theme is #UnmaskingStalking, raising awareness around changes in stalking since the start of the pandemic. 100% of National Stalking Helpline cases since Covid-19 have cyber elements to them. Stalkers are relying on social media sites, spyware and hacking devices to contact and monitor their victims. Stalking has been described as a crime of psychological terror. The impact on the victim can be devastating, with many experiencing hyper-vigilance, PTSD, self harm, anxiety, and depression. If you are, or think you might be, a victim of stalking you can report to us directly or call the National Stalking Helpline on 0808 802 0300. #UnmaskingStalking ![]() |
