Residents working from home are invited to ‘remove the zoom’ at the first lunch club designed for workers needing a break from their screens.
Canute Places’ Cranford Café is hosting the lunch club on 15th June at 1pm as part of an initiative from Knutsford Town Council to encourage people back into the town centre and support workers who may be feeling isolated.
“Whilst lockdown restrictions have eased not everyone is back in the office and we know that although working from home removes the commute it can cause isolation. This is just a nice way to bring people together. It is not a business networking event – diners can talk about whatever they want. If successful it may become a regular feature” said Sandra Curties Town Centre and Marketing Officer at Knutsford Town Council.
Sally Freeman, owner of Cranford Café said, “We already offer a “home workers deal” to work from the café and this lunch club is an extension of that. People can come into the café, without their laptops, have a break, meet other homeworkers and chat about whatever they want. A proper lunch break definitely clears the mind and makes afternoon working more productive”.
If you want to book email cranfordcafe@gmail.com All diners will be expected to check in, sanitise their hands and adhere to the government’s Covid guidelines.
