Officers investigating a fatal collision in Northwich have charged a man in relation to the incident.
At 9.16am on Thursday 18th July, police were called to a collision on the A533 on Runcorn Road, Northwich.
The collision involved a blue Ford Focus and a white Suzuki Celerio.
A passenger in the Suzuki, 48-year-old man from Runcorn, sadly died at the scene.
The driver of the Suzuki, a 48-year-old woman from Runcorn, sustained serious injuries and remains in hospital where she is receiving treatment.
Joshua Eldred, the driver of the Ford, and of no fixed abode in Northwich, was arrested at the scene in relation to the incident.
The 31-year-old has since been charged with causing death by dangerous driving, causing serious injury by dangerous driving, and failing to provide a sample.
Eldred has been remanded in custody and is set to appear at Chester Crown Court on Monday 19th August.
