Knutsford Art Trail makes its return next month with a day of activities planned for art lovers!
The trail will take place on Saturday 2nd April from 10am to 4pm and attendees can look forward to a host of displays in venues across Knutsford. Town Centre businesses will host displays from local artists with one artist exhibiting art per venue.
A larger scale exhibition will be held at Egerton Place, previously Marshalls House, which is currently undergoing renovations by new owners MBoss and GGM Properties to become a multi-purpose leisure venue for events and other activities. The exhibition will feature works from an array of local artists in a mixture of styles including digital artwork, paintings, sculptures and more.
Families can enjoy two interactive activities on the day. A children’s craft workshop will run at Knutsford Library on Toft Road for 2 hours from 11am – 1pm, where children can enjoy hands on crafts for free. The second workshop will be a drop-in session from 11am at Egerton Place, where artist Louise Crawford will lead in a collaborative project where adults and children can add a section to a large canvas which will then be displayed after the event somewhere centrally in the town as a celebration of local art and collaboration.
A trail map will lead you to all of the different venues for the event, including displays in shops, town centre art galleries and the exhibitions and workshops. You can pick up a trail map in advance of the event from the Town Council offices on Toft Road, print off a copy of your own online by visiting the Town Council’s Facebook event for the trail or by visiting town centre businesses who will have the maps in store.
