Congleton’s much-loved Paddling Pool will officially open for the summer season on Saturday 24th May 2025, offering a splash of fun for local families once again.
The pool will be open daily during the school holidays until Sunday 31 August, with two sessions each day:
- Morning session: 10am–1pm
- Afternoon session: 2pm–5pm
During term time, the paddling pool will be closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, with sessions running Wednesday to Sunday. Please note that for the half-term week commencing 26 May, the pool will be open seven days a week, before reverting to the term-time schedule (closed Monday 2 and Tuesday 3 June).
Every Wednesday during the main summer holidays, the pool will be closed to the public and reserved for private SEND sessions run by Ruby’s Fund. To book one of these sessions, please contact Ruby’s directly at 01260 277666 or info@rubysfund.co.uk.
No booking is required for general public sessions. Entry is on a first-come, first-served basis, with a maximum capacity of 140 people per session. Once the pool reaches capacity, visitors will be asked to wait until space becomes available.
Cllr Kay Wesley, Town Mayor, said:
“The paddling pool is such a special part of Congleton’s summer, and I’m thrilled to see it opening again for the season. It’s been delighting families since the 1930s and we are proud to keep investing in this wonderful facility. It’s all about creating joyful childhood memories, encouraging active play, and bringing people together in our community.”
The paddling pool is designed for children aged 11 and under, and all children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
The town council kindly ask visitors to use Town Centre car parks, which are just a short walk from the park and paddling pool. Please do not park in the Daneside Theatre car park, as it is private — unauthorised parking there risks a £100 fine. Park Road is a residential area, with restricted parking, so if you are parking nearby, please be respectful of residents and avoid blocking driveways,
For any updates, unexpected closures, or weather-related announcements during the season, please check the Congleton Town Council website and social media channels.
