Ten lucky people who visit Congleton Town Centre on Saturday 3rd July, Shops Independents’ Day, could find themselves holding a golden ticket!
To help promote the town centre, Congleton Town Council has worked with local shops on a gold ticket hunt to help celebrate Independents’ Day UK!
On Saturday 3rd July between 9.30am-4pm, 10 golden tickets will be hidden at 10 different locations around the Town Centre and Congleton Park. Clues for where the tickets will be hidden will be released one by one on the day via Congleton Town Council’s Facebook page. Each golden ticket transfers into a £10 voucher for each of the 10 lucky winners. Once found, this voucher can be spent in the listed Congleton local independent businesses.
Independents’ Day UK is celebrated over the weekend of 3rd & 4th July, the campaign supports and promotes independent retail businesses across the UK. Congleton Town Council is using this opportunity to showcase the independent shops and businesses that are at the heart of our local community.
The businesses signed up to Congleton Independents’ Day 2021 are: Bare Health, Bear Grills Café, Beeches, Bond's Bakery, Browns Furniture, Congleton Oatcakes, Congleton Veterinary Centre, Davenports, David James Menswear, Delia Metcalfe, Hollins & Hollinshead Jewellers, House to Home, K9 Raw, Mr Simms Olde Sweet Shoppe, RJ & J Moore Greengrocers, Serenity Designs, Stock @ The Pavilion, Town Hall Studios, Walker's Strings, Wendy's Pet Salon and Willow Vintage & Gifts
Congleton Town Council’s Town Centre & Events Officer, Martha Hayes said “I think the Independents’ Day is a great initiative for the local businesses to get involved in, to showcase what they have to offer and to get people back into Congleton. It was important that the local shops get involved and I’m glad that so many have! It’s a hunt for all ages, so be sure to watch out for the clues throughout the day, to be in with a chance of a golden ticket!”
