Cheshire East Council is proud to announce its support for National Smile Month, a campaign dedicated to promoting better oral health which runs from 12th May to 12th June.
The council is taking active steps to raise awareness and provide valuable resources to the community.
The theme this year is ‘Feed Your Smile’ which focuses on the connection between a healthy diet and reducing sugar intake for good oral health, which can help to prevent problems such as tooth decay and gum disease.
Professor Rod Thomson, Cheshire East Council’s interim director of public health, expressed his enthusiasm for the initiative:
"We are delighted to support National Smile Month and emphasise the importance of good oral health.
“Our goal is to ensure that everyone in our community has access to the information and resources they need to maintain a healthy smile."
As part of the range of activities, Cheshire East is hosting the All Together Smiling roadshow on Wednesday 28th May at Crewe Lifestyle Centre between 2.30pm and 3.30pm.
This event will offer a wealth of oral health information, resources, and support, including free toothbrush and paste packs for attendees. Families are also invited to participate in an interactive workshop where they can create their own oral health animation, making learning about dental care fun and engaging for all ages.
Anyone can go along to join in at the Crewe Lifestyle Centre to take part in this fantastic event and learn more about how you can maintain a healthy smile.
