Officers investigating reports of an assault in Macclesfield have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to.
On Sunday 9th February, police received reports of an assault at the White Lion public house in Mill Street, Macclesfield.
The incident is believed to have occurred at some time between 11.30pm on Saturday 8 February and 12.30am on Sunday 9 February. The 21-year-old female victim was uninjured.
Enquiries have been ongoing since the incident was reported in an attempt to identify the person responsible.
Now officers have released an image of a man they would like to speak to as they believe he may have vital information.
Police Constable Martin Arrundale said:
“As part of our ongoing investigation, we are now urging anyone who recognises the man pictured in the CCTV images to get in touch with us.
“We would also like to appeal directly to the man in the images to make contact with us.
