A cannabis farm has been discovered at a disused building in Middlewich with a significant number of plants being seized.
At 12.40pm on Wednesday 8th October, police executed a warrant at a disused building in Lewin Street in Middlewich, involving response officers, Congleton Beat Team and the Eastern Problem Solving Team.
Upon entry, approximately 500 cannabis plants were found.
Enquiries are currently ongoing in relation to the discovery, and no arrests have yet been made.
Inspector Jim Adams said:
“This is a significant cannabis farm which someone has gone to a lot of trouble to try and conceal.
“However, their efforts have been stopped and a large quantity of cannabis plants which could have been headed for the streets of Cheshire have been seized.
“We are actively investigating this incident, and enquiries are currently ongoing to trace those responsible.
