Buxton Opera House today announces the initial casting for their 2025 family pantomime Aladdin, which plays on the Opera House stage from 5th December 2025 – 1st January 2026.
Returning to the Opera House for his dazzling tenth Buxton pantomime is James Holmes (Miranda, Worzel Gummidge, Sherlock, I Live with Models) as Dame Twankey.
Alongside James, making their Opera House debuts are Reuben Leonard (You & I, Phoenix Arts Club) as our hero, Aladdin, Charis Stockton (I Was A Teenage She-Devil, Edinburgh Festival Fringe) as the delightful Princess, and Max Eade (Pop Off, Michelangelo, Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Underbelly Boulevard Soho) as the cheeky Sudds.

Reuniting the team that brought you Jack and the Beanstalk (2024) and Cinderella (2023), Aladdin is led by Director and Buxton Opera House CEO, Paul Kerryson.
The creative team is completed by Rickey Long (Musical Director), Richard Atkinson (Musical Arrangements), Tracey Iliffe (Choreographer), Tom Davis (Lighting Designer), Eoin O’Grady (Sound Designer), Vicki Louise Smith (Costume Designer), Chris Le-Good (Costume Supervisor), and Gemma Ford (Costume Assistant). Set is provided by Scenic Set Design.
This year’s pantomime includes Relaxed, Audio Described, Captioned, and British Sign Language Interpreted performances throughout the run, ensuring everybody can enjoy the magic of live theatre.
