Macclesfield Town are delighted to welcome attacking midfielder Ben Stephens back to the Moss Rose, after the 23-year-old put paper on a one-year deal.
Capable of playing in a front two or equally at home in an advanced central midfield role, Ben first signed for the Silkmen in the summer of 2018.
He would go on to make 50 appearances for the Club in all competitions - contributing 13 goals (scored six and assisted seven) during that time.
Ben arrived at the Moss Rose after a breakthrough season at Step 3 side Stratford Town in 2017/18. Within which, Ben scored 25 goals and provided the assist for a further 12 in 42 starts.
This led him to not only claim the Manager's, Player's and Supporter's Player of the Year Awards, but also capture much attention from higher up the football pyramid.
Ben enjoyed subsequent trials at Ipswich Town and Birmingham City, before joining The Silkmen on a two-year deal.
A graduate of Jamie Vardy's illustrious V9 Academy, Ben is a clever player with good vision, ball control and a very clean strike from either foot.
Ben becomes our ninth signing of the summer and we would like to wish him every success as he arrives back here at the Moss Rose.
