Officers are appealing for more information following a fatal collision in Macclesfield on Saturday morning.
At around 4.30am on Saturday 18 July police were called to Kendal Road following reports of an incident involving a blue Ford Focus which had collided a tree.
The driver of the Focus, a 57-year-old man from Macclesfield, was taken to hospital where he passed away a short time later.
His next of kin have been informed.
Officers are now appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the collision or may have any dashcam footage of the vehicle before the incident to come forward.
