United Utilities is inviting residents in Wincham to learn more about a £1m project to upgrade the water pipes in the local area.
Just over four kilometres of pipework will be replaced, helping to make the network more resilient and reduce leaks and bursts, improve reliability and strengthen the network to meet future demand.
Work is due to begin at the end of July, and will take approximately 14 weeks to complete.
The water company is hosting a drop-in event for the community to find out more on:
Thursday 11th June, between 3pm and 7pm at Wincham Community Centre, Church Street, CW9 6EP
The project forms part of United Utilities’ wider commitment to the largest investment in water and wastewater infrastructure in a century, with more than £13 billion being spent over the next five years to enhance rivers, lakes, and bathing waters across the North West.
