Their name was inspired by a Steely Dan song, their music influenced by the artfulness of Bruce Springsteen channelled through a distinctly Scottish upbringing. The end product is Deacon Blue.

Fronted by singer/songwriter Ricky Ross, Deacon Blue have enjoyed five top five albums and 18 top 40 singles over the last 25 years, achieving massive chart success in the '80s with tracks including Real Gone Kid and Fergus Sings The Blues.
They have continued to release new material, with critically acclaimed albums trilogy The Hipsters (2012), A New House (2014) and Believers (2016) all reaching the UK top 20 album chart.
