Formed in 1985 as a busking duo 'The Incomparable Benzini Brothers', the addition of Pete O'Toole led them to change their name to Hothouse Flowers.

Championed by the likes of U2, Hothouse Flowers released their debut in 1988 which reached the number 1 slot in the Irish charts within a week.
